Yes. The whole comforter is made to go in the washer: the fill is light and squeezes down easily, unlike a traditional comforter. Here's the washer capacity we recommend for each size:
Tip: it should tumble freely in the drum, not be packed in tight. If your washer is on the small side, a large-capacity machine at the laundromat works great.
Wash warm (104°F / 40°C) on a gentle spin. It air-dries in about 2 hours, or even faster in the dryer on low.
Go by the width of your mattress:
Between two sizes? Go bigger. A slightly wider comforter drapes better over the sides, and it ends the tug-of-war at night.
They're 20 × 30 in (51 × 76 cm), cut for a modern pillow shape. If your pillows are bigger (a King pillow is 20 × 36 in), pair the cases with 20 × 30 in pillows for a snug fit.
Machine wash warm (104°F / 40°C) at a medium spin, around 800 rpm. The fabric is made to hold on to less sweat and dirt than a regular comforter, so warm water is plenty for routine washes, and easier on the fabric over time. For a deeper clean now and then, you can wash it hot (140°F / 60°C). Then tumble dry on low, or air-dry: it's usually completely dry in about 2 hours.
